Dubai civil defense transforms emergency response & collaboration with Avaya and connect it

We are happy to announce that during Gitex 2015, Dubai Civil Defence and Avaya have signed an agreement to deploy video conferencing and real-time collaboration solutions across the department.
This suite of solutions will allow for the quick and seamless exchange of information between the Department, its experts, and customers, and will establish Dubai Civil Defence as a ‘Smart’ organization in a ‘Smart City’.
Connect IT – Libatel Operations in Dubai – was selected by Dubai Civil Defence as Avaya’s preferred partner to deliver and implement the solution.

This strategy stems from the Dubai Smart Initiative announced last year by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which is a call-to-action for the public and private sectors to collaborate on transforming Dubai into a world-class Smart City. With this, the Dubai Civil Defence will be among the most technologically-advanced Government departments in Dubai.
